Passion Pointers: Holiday Edition
The holiday rush… additional expenses… multitasking… it’s a busy
time of year. With everything that’s going on, it’s easy to forget to take some time for your inner Passion Diva.
But there is something you can do about it. This month, we’re giving you
ten tools (gifts, really) to help boost your self-esteem. These exercises are designed to aid you in reclaiming your confidence and sexual prowess, and
reawakening your Passion Diva. Go get her!
1. RECONNECT – Spend at least an hour journaling. Write
about your wants, passions and dreams. Be as detailed as
possible. Don’t just focus on material desires, but the emotions
you’d like to feel.
2. DREAM – Grab a few magazines and cut out images
associated with the things you want (based on your journaling).
Glue the clippings on a large poster board. Cover the entire
surface, collage-style. Once complete, hang your new dream
board up in a visible place within your home.
3. BE FEARlESS – Do something that is a little intimidating
to you, while wearing Rendezvous. Maybe, it’s dining alone,
starting a conversation with a stranger, making amends with
an old friend, scheduling that long-put-off appointment, or
taking the first step toward realizing your dreams – pick YOUR
power. You can even dedicate the whole day to doing what
scares you. No way, you say? YES way! Do it!
4. lIVE IN THE MOMENT – Be in the “here and now” for one
whole hour. Turn on some soft music, and focus on now and
nothing else. You can prepare your mind for “moment time”
through meditation or even some simple breathing exercises
(a quick Internet search will show you how). Then, follow with

Orgasm 101
rgasms are peaks of sexual excitement giving off intense, full-body waves of pleasure and relaxation. Fifty years ago, William Masters and Virginia Johnson
described four stages of the human sexual response cycle: arousal, plateau, orgasm and resolution. Today, there’s some debate about the application of these stages to women as some women may not experience much of a resolution stage and may instead experience multiple orgasms without going through each stage all over again.
There’s also debate in regards to the types of female orgasms. In the past, experts categorized female orgasms as either clitoral or G-spot stimulated. However, an orgasm may also be felt in the labia, heart, skin, spine or even as a rush throughout the entire body. Because orgasms are as unique as the women who experience them, there’s no way to define what’s “normal.” The only thing all female orgasms have in
common is that they all involve contractions of the pelvic floor muscles. Sensation, duration and cause of the climax will vary from woman to woman; and through persistent practice and experimentation, every woman can become an expert on her own orgasms.
What Can You Do to Ensure You Achieve Orgasm?
1. RELAX. Enjoy the moment and don’t focus on having an orgasm.
2. COMMUNICATE. Let your lover know what feels good. When
your partner does something you enjoy, encourage your lover to
continue.
3. FANTASIZE. Let your imagination run wild. Some women find
that having a fantasy during lovemaking helps them to climax. The
moment you find yourself close to climaxing, try tightening and
relaxing your pelvic floor muscles to spark an orgasm.
What Can Partners Do?
1. COMPLIMENT. Think of ways to make your lover feel sexy and
adored.
2. BE PATIENT. Not just with your lover who is trying to achieve an
orgasm, but with yourself, too. If you climax before your lover does,
continue stimulating your partner by using sensual products, such as
lubrication and a vibrator, or performing oral sex.
3.REMEMBER THE CLITORIS. Most women need clitoral
stimulation in order to reach climax. The clitoris is just as important
to women as the penis is to men.
Multiple Orgasms
Now that you’re an expert on orgasm, spread the word.

As is the case with regular orgasms, there is no “right” way to have multiple orgasms. Would You Kiss and Tell?
Karrine Steffans. Her name has become synonymous with slurs such as “Whore”, “Snitch”, and “Gold-Digger”. Today I am not going to condone or condemn her chosen lifestyle but to rather start a dialog on whether the old “Don’t Kiss and Tell” still holds true.
From a feminist perspective men have been kissing and telling for years. However there is a double standard here that once a woman does the same she is conducting herself in the most heinous manner possible, and is ridiculed by both her peers and the opposite sex. Is this fair? Well –rude awakening for the guys- women talk! We talk to one another, usually our most trusted friends –our sisters so to speak. But please believe that when there is an encounter that we deem as newsworthy it is most likely going to be shared in one form or another.
I do however understand the backlash that Diary of a Video Vixen caused. They were angry. They were angry that there secrets were out. That the private seedy lie they lead separate from their families was exposed. It was put in print, bound, and sold to millions nationwide. But my question is who is at fault her. My grandmother once said, like many other grandmothers in the black community have said, what is done in the dark comes to the light. So there is not escaping your past people. Once it is done it can not be undone. So why do we despise this woman, who was not married, who was unattached and free, for telling her story. For exposing her past and profiting from that we are completely shocked and appalled –yet her book sold MILLIONS of copies so despite how enraged we may be, we still bought into the machine.
Aside from Karrine there has been countless tell a books, describing sexual tryst and intimate encounters with numerous celebrities. However, these books stand out because they expose the dark under belly of Hip Hop. In the Black Community, there are few things one can be called that are worse than a single 6 letter word – Snitch. So in a way that is what she did according to the culture of hip-hop. But as a woman I can tell you I have had several guys profess their conquest over me, some accurate, some a complete and total fabrication – yet this is not considered snitching. Perhaps because I am a woman, perhaps because I do not hold a definite social standing in the community. However if the role was reversed I wonder what the outcome would be. Would there be an outcry if I slept with a married man and wrote a blog about it? Would I lose everything I stand for, or would I be like a man and poke my chest out and pat myself on the back for a job well done.
I’m curious what you all think about this topic. Share your comments below –the good, the bad, and the ugly.

Using Media to Inspire Romance
Keeping the fires burning in a relationship can be difficult. Sometimes what started out as a blazing inferno can all but fizzle out completely. As women it is our very nature to place others needs before our own. Passion Parties believes that every woman has an inner diva. True Blood is an amazing series on HBO. The love affair between Sookie and Bill is a powerfully passionate one. They have given us ideas on taking lovemaking out of the bedroom and pretty much doing it any and everywhere – I do not however recommend you bury your partner alive, have him claw his way out just so that you can make love in a cemetery though. Sookie and Bill have given us new positions to try as well. There is even a scene in Season 3 of the Character Eric and his new dancer involving restraints. This can be humanly done by use of the Love Swing!
Another HBO Show Hung- the story of a male prostitute can give you ideas to utilize on role reversal. Where the woman is in charge and the man has to do any and everything she says. How fun! It also brings to mention my absolute favorite type of role playing the Prostitute game. Basically you get dressed up for a night of “work” as a lady of the evening and your partner has to pick you up. Now to be safe please don’t stand out on the street corner as you may be mistaken for the real thing and be arrested.

My Quest for Silver Star
Every direct sales company has a contest, promotion, or other avenue to pump up the consultants and beef up sales. As an Independent Passion Consultant with Passion Parties my company is offering the Silver Star contest. And man do I want it! Let me explain: I have never been competetive a day in my life up until now. I have never wanted anything so badly before. Basically the winner of Silver star is showered with gifts and treated like royalty. She gets a tiara, spa treatments, a gown, and various other perks. SO I'm like cool. That sounds nice. My Life as a Passion Diva
Diva. What does this word mean? The Webster Dictionary states that the word Diva is a literal translation of the Latin word Divus which mean goddess. It is also a word to describe a singer, fashion personality etc. But today the word means all things glamorous. Every woman has an inner diva and Passion Parties wants to help you set her free! It means living, eating, breathing your business. However, being a Passion Diva is so much easier! Our parties are fun and educational and women LOVE our Products!!
I have been involved in Passion Parties for almost a year now and I can tell you from my personal experience that this business is life altering. I have been empowered by Passion Parties. I run my own business and I'm able to spend quality time with my kids and my husband while earning a good income!

Talking to Your Kids About Sex
There is going to come a time when you’ll have to talk to your kids about sex. You may not have all the answers – I recommend you do some research on STD’s etc most public libraries carry tons of books on the subject.
Do not hand them a book to your kids and tell them to read it – try leaving it on the coffee table while your watching tv together – you guys can browse through it together and your then available to answer questions
Try going to the local health department- they have an awesome wealth of information. You gather pamphlets and other information about STD's Birth Control etc. They often have material designed for youth.
It is important to talk to your kids about STD’s and Birth Control. I know there is a growing idea, some of my friends have it. That discussing birth control with your kids is giving them permission for them to have sex. I like to think of it as nipping it in the bud. Do you want them to know or assume that the ever common myths about sexually transmitted diseases and pregnancy are true. Also as I was a very rebellious teenager, They really don’t need your permission.
Peter Mayle wrote an amazing book called – What is Happening to My Body. It discusses puberty and explains what is going on during those very confusing pre-teen years.
It is important that good education starts at home. These are your kids, and ultimately, regardless of how Americans like to shrug the responsibility, there education lies with you.
I hope that some of these suggestions help you discuss sex with your children. Remember that that you ar doing your children a disservice by being afraid to have the hard conversations with them. I encourage to seek help when needed and make your self approachable to your kids. If they are afraid to ask you basic questions then why would they come to you with a major one. Oh, the joys of parenting!
